Forties Modern
The owners of this early modern split level home wanted to renovate and update the house to suite their current lifestyle, but were unsure which direction they wanted the design to take. This was a study which explored the option of retaining the 1940s innovative modernity of the original design while adding substantially to the square footage and functionality of the house.  The design exercise included floor plans, elevations and this concept sketch.
