Hollin Hills Modern
The owners of this mid-century modern home in Hollin Hills, Virginia, which was designed by Charles Goodman, sought to extend the original promise of the house design, and right the architectural wrongs committed by a previous renovation.
Project goals include: creating a new sense of entry and a new sculptural stair into a tall and daylit space; joining the front landscape of the house to the rear garden landscape through a series of interconnected interior spaces and porches; building a new kitchen that serves the family gathering and entertainment needs of the owners’ lifestyle; and bringing in more daylight.
